School Field Trips

Our educational programs are offered every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 10:00 am & 1:00 pm. Reservations are required. If you have questions about these programs, please email our Educator at: battleship.educator@dncr.nc.gov. Self-guided tours are available on Mondays & Fridays ONLY. Reservations are required. Stories Meet Reality

Everybody loves that time when you get to go on a field trip! And we hope that your students will value the time they get to spend at the Battleship with their classmates.  Whether they are here for an educational program or a self-guided tour, the Battleship North Carolina has something fun for you to learn and discover!  Here, stories meet reality through reading crew memories, learning about how a WWII battleship worked, and how it took a team to operate such a huge vessel at sea.

Bring your students to the Battleship North Carolina!  The Ship is a memory-making machine that is full of stories and facts for your students to discover.  They can explore nine-decks of wonder, finding adventure on each one--from the engine room to the bridge.  Every artifact has a story for your students to become immersed in!

 

Self-Guided Tours are available on Monday & Friday ONLY.  If this does not work with your schedule, please check out one of our School Group-led educational programs that are available Tuesday - Thursday.

 

We require that school groups bring 1 chaperone per 10 students.  Teachers & bus drivers are free.  Chaperones are encouraged to get their tickets in advance (here).  Any chaperone who has not prepaid in advance will be charged a regular adult admission ticket.
