Tours will take you up and down steep ladders (and over high coamings). You should wear comfortable clothing and shoes. We do not recommend open toe shoes or flip flops. Please dress for the weather as tours go on rain or shine.
We encourage guests to take pictures and videos but please be mindful of your surroundings. There are open hatches and other obstacles along the tour route, so safety first. We do not recommend taking infants in strollers up and
down the ladders.
Service animals are allowed but no other pets please.

HEAT ADVISORY
During the heat of the summer months, the Friends reserve the right to reschedule, modify, or cancel guided tours in the event the National Weather Service Forecast Office in Wilmington (https://www.weather.gov/ilm) has issued either a Heat Advisory or Excessive Heat Warning, or, if in the judgment of tour guides or ship staff, heat conditions on the ship could adversely affect participants and tour guides. We will notify participants as soon as possible, but in many cases, the determination may not be made until the scheduled tour time.
